CEO & Founder
Dr Yoza Jekwa
Dr. Yoza Jekwa, our esteemed Founder and CEO, brings an impressive track record of over two decades in the financial services sector. With a wealth of experience in investment banking and principal investing, she has navigated diverse landscapes, contributing her expertise to LBOs, PE deals, BBBEE deal structuring, and structured lending. Her impact spans across South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Europe.
Previously serving as the CEO of a multi-regional, multi-product asset management company with assets under management totalling USD 2 billion, Yoza led the charge in overseeing infrastructure-focused private market debt and equity funds.
In addition to her role at Thrive Capital Partners, Yoza serves as a non-executive director for various public companies, including Northam Platinum, Thungela Resources, and Brait. In these capacities, she is a steadfast advocate for gender parity, sustainability, and robust financial governance.

Ashraf Mohamed
Ashraf Mohamed is a seasoned emerging market investment specialist who started his financial services career at HSBC and has handled third-party assets exceeding USD 15 billion. He also specialises in Sharia compliance investment products and has established a robust global network in this arena.
Over his extensive career in asset management, Ashraf has managed equity and balanced funds for reputable institutions such as Franklin Templeton, Futuregrowth, and Stanlib. He is also former CEO of Ascension Properties.
He is a distinguished non-executive director of Castleview Property Fund, a prominent listed Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT).
